Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking multiple A04 Purchasing Officers to assist in the preparation of purchase orders both manual and in a Procure to pay system, ability to manage transition and multiple systems at the same time. You will be very comfortable and advanced at using the Microsoft Office suite – particularly Word and Excel; comfortable learning new systems quickly. Have a strong ability to process high volume tasks quickly and accurately, strong attention to detail and adept at high volume tasks, such as preparation of purchase orders. Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with a range of internal team members including the Procurement and Finance teams and Support Planners, as well as relevant contacts externally.

As the A04 Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for;

  • Preparation of purchase orders both manual and in a Procure to pay system, ability to manage transition and multiple systems at the same time.
  • Preparation of approval letters and funding approvals.
  • Contract variations drafting
  • Creation and management of vendor records in bespoke case management system
  • Searching and confirming information in bespoke case management system
  • Liaise with providers/internal stakeholders regarding any inaccuracies with quotes/approvals
  • Review data / information for consistency and accuracy
  • Undertake procurement and contract administration activities aligned with the
  • Procurement lifecycle including planning, sourcing and managing contracts.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement related services, processes, systems and initiatives, share information and knowledge, develop and implement better practice systems, processes and training
  • Confidence in applying and adhering to procurement policies, procedures and legislation, including the Queensland Procurement Policy 2021

Capabilities:

  • Very comfortable and advanced user of Microsoft Office suite – particularly Word and Excel;
  • Comfortable learning new systems quickly;
  • Strong ability to process high volume tasks quickly and accurately;
  • Strong attention to detail and adept at high volume tasks Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with a range of internal team members including the Procurement and Finance teams and Support Planners, as well as relevant contacts externally (at similar levels)
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to problem solve and present issues in a consumable way that includes options to supervisors along with a commitment to continuous improvement and organisational effectiveness.
