POSITION SUMMARYThe Administration Officer provides assistance to the Child Protection program and will be responsible for a range of key tasks from preparation of high-level correspondence, complaint management, diary management, meeting preparation, minute taking, coordination and management of a range of secretariat and administrative support functions. Administration Officers provide a point of contact for key stakeholders from a diverse range of organisations, government, private, public and community services sectors.
Attention to detail and teamwork underpin success in this role as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively. The role provides wide ranging administrative, secretariat and support functions.

The Central Highlands area includes the six local government areas of Ararat, Ballarat, Golden Plains, Hepburn, Moorabool, and Pyrenees. Central Highlands Area is a regional area along the main Western Highway travel route. There are a number of key centres that are relatively close to each other, and to Melbourne. The main centre is Ballarat, the second largest regional city in Victoria. Other key centres include Bacchus Marsh, Ararat, and Daylesford.
The current population estimate for Central Highlands is 192,000 with large population growth projected in the metropolitan fringe areas of Bacchus Marsh and Golden Plains (linked to Geelong), and Moorabool.
