About the Role

Premier People are currently supporting our clients, who specialise in fixed plant maintenance across WA mine sites with upcoming shutdown and roster where they will require a number of trade qualified, experienced Riggers.

Key responsibilities include:

· Align, level, and anchor machinery

· Attach loads to rigging and prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools

· Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures

· Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces

· Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads

· Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability

· Conform to and promote OHS and Safe Working Practices

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must be prepared to complete a pre-employment medical check and a drugs and alcohol test. Successful applicants must have rights to work in Australia and hold the following:

Compulsory

· Valid WA Driver’s License

· Working at Heights (RIIWHS204D)

· Working in Confined Spaces (RIIWHS202D)

· Gas Testing Atmospheres (MSAPHOS217A)

· High Risk Work License

Preferred

· Willing to work in TA roles if and when required  

· Previous experience working within the mining industry

· MSIC Card
