What you'll be doing
Working in buddies under the direction of a qualified nursing care team member to help patients and residents with less complex healthcare needs, including providing companionship, assisting with daily activities, and escalating concerns to nursing team members where appropriate.
Employed within the nursing team working under nursing supervision, allowing the wider nursing team greater capacity to operate at the top of their scope in performing critical activities.
All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 September 2021 and two doses by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate.
You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

- Ability to work in a health related field and provide a range of care and support with knowledge of correct hygienic practices while following infection control procedures.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, under supervision, and as part of a team in a high activity environment.
