ABOUT THE ROLE:
Opportunity to join our team, in the Catering and Housekeeping department. Ideally you will have experience in Cooking (for up to 17 people), Laundry and Cleaning, within the Aged Care Environment. Join us in our newly renovated facility providing household model of care.
- Casual positions currently available.
- Located at Mercy Place Mount St Josephs Young within the Catering and Housekeeping Department
- Require suitably qualified (or experienced) cooks to provide nutritious meal options to our residents
- Reporting to the Catering and Housekeeping Manager you will ensure meals are prepared according to individual resident dietary requirements and served according to internal guidelines
- Cleaning of common areas of the facility
- Laundry services
ABOUT YOU:
- Qualifications as a Cook (Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery) or relevant experience (Food Safety Supervisor Certification desirable)
- Experience in a commercial kitchen and Aged Care is desirable but not essential
- Ability to operate in a team environment and during peak periods
- An understanding that producing nutritious meals is an important part of home life for residents (and their families)
- Desire to make a difference and impact the lives of our residents by providing good meal preparation and technique
