Your work:

  • Lead the insurance analyst team to develop and deliver decision-making information to executive management.
  • Develop goals and objectives and establish a timetable for deliverables.
  • Advise the evaluation of performance measurements and report findings and makes recommendations for changes to Insurance Product Management (IPO) upper management.
  • Make financial and analytical presentations to senior management and executives.
  • Approve analysis and write-ups prior to release.
  • Accountable for the overall management of the Commercial Insurance Analysis business unit.
  • Hire, empower and mentor staff. Handle human resources (HR), budget and administrative issues and duties.
  • Provide consultation in many areas including product management, ratemaking, forecasting and modeling.
  • Review performance metrics to determine the types of analysis needed and assigns resources and priorities accordingly.
  • Coordinate analysis efforts with other areas in the enterprise.

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of Insurance, Actuarial, Product Management, Programming, Data Reporting and Analysis or related business experience.
  • 5+ years of leading staff or supervisory experience.
  • Master-level analytical, processing and mathematical skills with the ability to review and direct analysis.
  • Strategic delivery of formal presentations and meetings.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Master-level knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic and various structured analysis and design techniques.
  • Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds.

The national average salary range for this position is $163,350-$181,500. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $146,970-$217,700. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 18% of eligible pay.
