Georgia-Pacific National Account Corrugated Commercial Team is hiring a Customer Account Specialist - National Accounts. This is a key individual contributor role focused on serving our customers by working in tandem with our National Account Managers (NAM’s) to enhance customer experience. This role has high exposure to all aspects of our packaging business and works collaboratively with sales, legal, business analytics, credit, and accounting.
Location: Based in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area offering a hybrid schedule
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Providing administrative and sales support to our customers and NAMs
- Work with NAM’s and Business Analyst teams to provide information for RFI’s and bids
- Serve as the liaison between our customers, GP operations personnel, local customer service, and other GP departments (credit, AP, AR, PMT, business analysts, etc.)
- Deliver accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries (i.e., price quotes, accurate sales reporting, updated price lists, service/quality inquiries, and other projects)
- Assist and follow-up service or quality issues with GP plants to ensure timely and accurate reports
- Understand and comply with the terms and conditions of the NA Agreements
- Proactively communicate the key terms of the NA Agreements to NAMs (i.e., price change mechanisms, rebates, warehouse obsolescence, payment terms, etc.)
- Generate monthly/quarterly/annual customer sales reports
- Inform accounting team of rebate accruals
- Monitor, calculate and process rebate payments
- Work with customer and AR team to resolve outstanding invoices or credit issues
- Other functions not listed here that are significant to the support of the NAMs and NA Customers
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in an administrative role within a corporate organization
- Extensive use of Office products with integral understanding of Excel (formulas, manipulating data, generating reports, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in fast paced sales environment
