A new and exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse / Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our team of District Nurses. This Position exists 4 days per fortnight and we offer a positive, supportive and collaborative workplace culture with a family friendly approach. Initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a clear sense of boundaries are part of the qualities we require.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to person centred care, the ability to work independently and have extensive experience with wound care, palliative care and general team nursing. In addition, you will be highly motivated and experienced nurse who will work effectively in multidisciplinary teams to provide clinical services to WDHS consumers.

You will Involve the patient / customer and their relatives in decision making relevant to their needs and preferences and practice in accordance with the Australian Nursing Accreditation Council (ANMAC) .

It will be the role also to ensure National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse are met and to provide evidence based nursing practice. These will be followed by participating in the development and implementation of a planned nursing care approach and standards that are outcome based .The District Nurse will have knowledge specific in the area of clinical specialisation and have a depth of knowledge and experience and effective integration of theory to practice.

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current National Criminal Police Check. Dependant on your position you may be required to obtain a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check. All successful applicants are to comply with WDHS immunisation and vaccination requirements, including COVID and Booster requirements
