About the roleThe Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies). This role provides the delivery of clinical care and support specific to Ed LinQ within a Child and Youth Mental Health setting.
The Ed-LinQ program operates at the state and HHS levels to enhance the early detection and collaborative care of school-aged children and young people experiencing mental health problems. It does so by addressing three key focus areas: provision of school-based consultation-liaison, enhancing capacity and fostering strategic partnerships. The program will be articulated in the Ed-LinQ model of service, and underpinned by a statewide evaluation and reporting framework.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level of clinical practice and expertise in an Emergency nursing within the current legislative and policy context.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and provide independent professional judgement and expertise in problem solving and clinical management within a complex, fast paced clinical environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead at a work unit/service area level and/or across professions to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply quality assurance processes including participation in ongoing professional development opportunities and clinical supervision.
- Proven ability in the application of highly developed interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and communication skills
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
