Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of hazardous materials (asbestos/lead paint, mold) project manager experience.
- Prior work experience with USPS, federal, state, and or local government planned and emergency response.
- Experience preparing a variety of technical reports related to hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, mold, universal wastes, etc.) , including technical specifications, health and safety plans, air sampling plans, survey plans, and oversight reports.
- Experience providing on-site third-party oversight of abatement contractors, including assessing compliance with regulations, conducting visual clearance, and collecting air clearance samples.
- Survey experience AHERA, renovation/demolition, emergency response/recovery (ex. wildfires, floods, etc.), condition assessments.
- Experience developing work scopes and preparing proposals.
- Experience managing and leading field teams.
Plusses:
- Bachelor degree in environmental sciences or physical sciences (e.g., geology, biology, hydrology, health physics)
- Current AHERA Building Inspector, Management Planner, Project Designer, and Contractor/Supervisor
- State certifications (where applicable)
- NIOSH 582 certification
- State and/or EPA Lead certifications (inspector, assessor, project monitor, supervisor) and current lead training refresher
- Current 40-hr HAZWOPER certification
About:
Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager for a large environmental engineering client that has experience working for or with the United States Postal Service (USPS) or other similar federal agencies to provide support on multiple contracts. This position requires roughly 20-25% travel nationwide. We are looking for a candidate that has a minimum of 5 years of practical scientific, environmental engineering or environmental consulting work experience in performing the responsibilities listed below:
- Manage multiple hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, mold, universal wastes, etc.) projects simultaneously for government clients including surveys, preparation of technical specifications, and third-party oversight work.
- Prepare various sized technical reports (some examples third party oversight reports, completion reports, Phase I and II’s, remedial work plans, facility assessment tools).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and strong organization skills.
- May need to work occasionally on nights and weekends to address emergency response as needed.
- Planning elements such as reviewing, analyzing, integrating, interfacing and coordinating federal, state, local, and regional contingency and emergency response plans, and protocols.
- Provide professional expertise in technical and administrative support for identification, documentation and notifications related to releases, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical support capability for performing, assessing and developing mitigation options, plans, guidance and reports for any threat posed to human health and the environment. This includes but not limited to human health risk and exposure assessments, ecological risk assessments and the ability to implement and perform mitigation measures and services.
- Provide professional staff, expert guidance, recommendations, protocols, technologies, equipment, materials, and personnel for implement projects for USPS.

Pay: $51,320.87 - $128,662.48 per year
