Job description

• Specialist will perform a variety of duties both clerical and technical. Responsible for accurately maintaining customer escrow/tax impound accounts while complying with state, regulatory, county, investor, and company guidelines.
• Major responsibility will include handling all escrow inquiries, processing, and maintenance. Process and research insurance exceptions including lender placed coverage, insurance disbursements, cancelations, insufficient coverage, and exception research.
• Execute payments for taxes and insurance both in batch and single processing mode, accounting to the renewal and instalment due dates for the payees. Pay insurance bills at policy renewal and update system as changes to the policy occur.
• Obtain and pay lender placed insurance, as necessary. Research and deposit insurance refunds and update account.
• Assists customers with changes in escrow items, sets up new tax payees or makes changes upon requests.
• Research escrow impound accounts upon client request to resolve and or communicate status to clients.
• Have knowledge of escrow analysis and its process. Maintain a good working relationship with insurance and tax vendors to facilitate resolution of client inquiries.
• Review and verify tax and insurance data; process reports as deemed necessary daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Other projects and assignments to be determined based on need.

Responsibility:

o Ability to operate standard computer and office equipment.

o Above average ability in MSWord/Excel preferred.

o Mortgage and consumer loan experience preferred.

o Understanding of loan products and functionality.

o Understanding of escrow accounting processes, escrow analysis, and insurance.

o Ability to adapt to changing environments as workflow is adjusted.

o Able to learn quickly and work within deadlines.

o Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to deliver superior customer service.

o Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
