ABOUT THE COMPANY

Fresh Start is a non-for-profit day hospital based in Subiaco. Fresh Start concentrates on detox and developing a drug-free lifestyle. Through their unique and comprehensive approach to drug and alcohol treatment they have helped over 12,000 people and their families out of the vicious cycle of addiction.

They are rapidly growing and are now seeking a Fundraising, Marketing & Events Coordinator (4 days a week) to join the team, with flexible hours provided for the right candidate.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an effective and enthusiastic Fundraising, Marketing & Events coordinator, you will deliver the organisation’s fundraising, events and communication programs, as well as coordinating internal events.

Main duties:

  • Understand, communicate and commit to the organisation’s vision, goals and strategies
  • Take ownership in the deliveries of Fresh Start Recovery Program internal and external events
  • Be responsible for proactive internal and external communications
  • Provide fundraising support across Fresh Start Recovery Programme (FSRP) focusing on the donor journey (cash donation, sponsorship, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with external consultants to create and deliver effective communications for news articles for media including TV, radio, press and social media, and events promotion.
  • Work collaboratively with peers to ensure fundraising campaigns are optimised
  • Support growth in annual fundraising amount via various funnels (sponsorship, cash donations and donation in kind)
  • Work with SEO advertiser and Website Manager to create a pipeline of social content and ensure correct responses to online enquiries are made in a timely manner
  • Attend corporate partnership meetings to engage and renew partnerships
  • Monitor grant acquisition process, as well as prepare grant application to receive appropriate findings
  • Follow instructions from the CEO and support other Fresh Start team members as required

KPI:

  • Achieve donor and event funding revenue goals
  • Increase internal and external engagement
  • Appropriately manage event budget as allocated
  • Increase visibility on various platforms
  • Develop and improve publications presentation/style guide/imaging

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks as required in order to meet overall objectives of the organisation.

The role requires the successful candidate to be flexible and open to work evenings or weekends to attend events as required.

ABOUT YOU

Ideal Skills

Have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, PR or related discipline
  • At least +2/3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in event-management
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to cope with competing deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail, flexibility, time management and accuracy
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow directions as well as take initiatives
  • Effective communication and interaction with various stakeholders
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanour
  • Willingness to support Fresh Start’s approach and programmes
  • Driver’s License

Ability to:

  • Communicate efficiently with other people within the organisation and with external consultants
  • Develop and support relationships with donors and stakeholders
  • Keep up-to-date and accurate donor records, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the database
  • Work both independently and as part of a team while being proactive and showing initiative
