Our client based on the far Southside of Brisbane (halfway to the Gold Coast) are a leader in their field when it comes to the repairs and maintenance of a range of heavy duty industrial equipment and machinery used throughout the mining and resources sector. An opportunity has arisen for the successful candidate to take on the role of Gearbox Fitter.
Key Points of Interest
- Permanent role
- $40 – $45 per hour + super
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
- Ensure tasks are carried out safely and to company quality and specification requirements
- Maintain and use equipment effectively
- General fitting and machining
- Inspect, analyse and record critical mechanical information during the fitting and machining process including; wear and tear, mechanical damage, tooth contracts, etc
- Sketch and accurately measure mechanical components
- Perform mechanical repairs, manufacture components and any other duties as directed
- Previous experience in a machining role is necessary
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
- Relevant trade certificates and licences, or qualifications
