Where you'll be working
The Needle & Syringe Program has two primary services located at Brookvale Community Health Centre and Royal North Shore Community Health Centre. The successful candidate will be required to work at both primary services and also be required to support the services outreach services across the District.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Tertiary qualifications, or working towards tertiary qualifications in Behavioural/Social Sciences, Drug and Alcohol, Health, Education or related areas, or relevant work experience in related fields.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of HIV, hepatitis C and other blood borne viruses and the principles of harm minimisation.
- Comprehensive understanding of issues affecting individuals who inject drugs inclusive of social, legal and ethical factors.
- The ability to relate to people who inject drugs in a non-judgemental manner and sensitivity to lifestyle issues.
- Demonstrated competency in computer, written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Current NSW drivers licence and the ability to work in various locations across the LHD.
