About the Role
This newly created role is responsible for the relationship management and contract management of medical examiners utilised by the TAC. Working closely with the JME Manager and Manager, Impairment Training and Quality Assurance to drive improve the processes around medical examinations of TAC clients. Success in this role will see you develop, improve and maintain strong relationships with provider groups and peak bodies.
You will be the key subject matter expert for medical examinations and be an autonomous leader with strong influencing, planning and organisational skills. You will be accountable for managing provider performance, examiner utilisation and client experience with respect to medical examinations. Possessing a strong ability to articulate service and provider performance through the use of provider metrics and data analysis is a key requirement and purpose of the role.
About the Team
This role will be a part of the newly created Medico-Legal Hub Team within the Complex Recovery & Serious Injury Division, which enables and supports seriously injured clients regain optimal independence and those with complex recovery needs to achieve outcomes following a transport accident. This new role has the opportunity to make a difference and support all TAC clients across all client divisions to get their lives back on track.
A Day in the Life
- Manage all aspects of the performance of and the relationship management of medical examiners utilised by the TAC, including measurement, performance management, reporting, induction and facilitation, contract management and negotiation, compliance and reviews
- Develop work priorities and lead decision making for action and the development and implementation of strategic responses within a project management framework
- Build and maintain valuable and engaging stakeholder relationships, including managing responses to general enquiries, escalations and assisting with complaints relating to medical examinations
- Some travel required to meet with external stakeholders
What you’ll need to succeed
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in health, disability or related discipline (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience in a personal injury claims operational environment
- Experience working within a project management framework
- Strong ability to influence the thinking and actions of others, and to facilitate diverse groups
- Expertise in the capture and analysis of inputs received from stakeholders, research and analysis and the ability to formulate those inputs into draft strategy, policy or procedures
- Strong ability to effectively engage with various internal and external stakeholders
