About the Role
This position is to lead and maintain a sophisticated safety culture within our Facilities Management and Melbourne Parks & Gardens team. Adhering to standards and legislation, you as the HSE Advisor will ensure that all work undertaken for our Facilities Management and Melbourne Parks & Gardens (MPG) Contract meets the contractual obligations. Thereby you will also ensure that policies and procedures are designed and implemented to mitigate health and safety risks throughout the organisation.

About You

As the HSE Advisor, you will demonstrate leadership and have the ability to work in a large and complex organisation, providing support to HSE service functions and the broader team. You will be a respected professional who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do , maintaining high standards of operating. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain key stakeholder and team relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
• Diploma or minimum Certificate IV in WHS
• Demonstrated 5 years of experience and/or transferrable experience in related fields.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of contractor management and High-Risk Construction Work – including, but not limited to, mobile plant operation, working at heights, confined spaces, etc
• Understanding of ISO and industry standards
• Knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
• Strong ability to write and implement WHS documentation
