An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Allied Health Professional to join our General Medical team.


  • 12-month Fixed Term, Part Time position - 0.6 EFT - 22.8 Hours per week


This part-time position is to lead allied health's timely access to care by the provision of expert up-front interdisciplinary triage and assessment of complex patients who are admitted to General Medicine. As such, this person will be responsible for providing strong allied health leadership in modelling best practice principles of interdisciplinary care. Job share is considered for this position, please stipulate desired EFT in application.


This part-time position is to lead allied health's timely access to care by the provision of expert upfront interdisciplinary triage and assessment of complex patients who are admitted to General Medicine. As such, this person will be responsible for providing strong allied health leadership in modelling best practice principles of interdisciplinary care.


To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:


  • Developing clinical competency in all interdisciplinary assessment and triage tasks

  • Leadership skills in the allied health triage and assessment within the General Medicine clinical stream of care

  • Ability to foster and promote a team environment and creating a positive work culture

  • Positive advocacy on behalf of all allied health disciplines

  • Willingness to contribute to and work within your specific discipline team
