The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an experienced DRP/Inventory Controller, who is looking to join a large organisation and work on some transformative projects. Reporting to the Inventory Manager you will support continuous improvements and promote service excellence through open and timely communication throughout the business unit.
The purpose of your role is to ensure the daily management of Distribution Resource Planning (DRP), supporting the BU's market offer.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage all elements of inventory control including (Cycle Counting, Stock adjustments, damages, inventory accuracy, stocktakes, manage the flow of inbound stock)
- Proactive management of bay capacity within the DC
- Proactive review and management of production plans vs DC storage and transport capabilities
- Conduct root cause analysis and follow through on corrective actions to ensure that inventory accuracy is increased and maintained
- Manage risks and potential service outages, providing recommendations and solutions
- Manage sufficient timber pallet/glut supplies through inventory management control and proactively communicate any constraints to the inventory manager and source additional suppliers
- Timely management of all notifications received via SAP and Email for customers
- Creation of Purchase Orders for Bought-in-Lines (BILS) and Stock Transport Orders (STO’s) in a timely manner as per SAP parameters
About You
You are a logistics professional with at least 3+ years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Other desirable skills are:
- Ability to understand supply chain as a service provider, responding to market needs and delivering services that support differentiation and price premium
- Experience with manufacturing/operations systems and processes
- Experience with planning systems and a thorough understanding of MRPII processes
- Ability to understand inventory management business systems.
