About the Role
Working with the large on-farm team, you will support the irrigation and fertigation scheduling, maintenance/repairs and general farm work to meet daily requirements at Costa’s 2PH Emerald and Lochearn farms.This opportunity would suit someone with a go-getter attitude, who enjoys being outdoors and working with a passionate hard-working team who is looking to build a career.
What you will be doing
- Implementation of Irrigation and Fertigation program
- Maintenance and repair of sprinkler and drip irrigation across citrus plantings Cleaning filters, flushing drip lines and unblocking of overhead sprinklers
- Mixing and distribution and recording fertiliser usage
- General farm work as required
To be successful in this role you’ll have some computer skills and a positive, hands-on attitude.
Prior experience in a similar role, preferably with orchard or vineyard irrigation, would be advantageous but not essential.
The successful applicant will be provided training and mentoring to develop their skills to be successful in the role.
