As the IT Project Manager, you be responsible for executing the development and implementation of all parts of the assigned projects. Depending on project size, there may be more than one project assigned at a time. This role is inherently cross-functional. You will work closely with Architects, Developers, Testers, Business Owners, IT Product Owners, and ITS and other vendor teams as well as multiple partners to bring innovation, features, and solutions to the Projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the Project Plan with all relevant stakeholders, adjust and regularly follow up during implementation; identify and escalate issues and delays.
  • Run all appropriate Agile ceremonies to ensure tight controls and adjust plan as needed.
  • Maintain and manage through Jira using dashboards and well-defined and groomed issues, handle prioritization of work coming into development.
  • Understand the business needs and critically review any solutions understanding the impacts.
  • Be able to manage projects via Kanban or Scrum methodologies and tailor as needed.
  • Understand and be able to communicate at a high level technical solutions and the pros and cons associated to the solution.
  • Represent the project in stakeholder meetings.
  • Perform risk assessment, evaluate, add mitigate all risks possible, and monitor for the others.
  • Maintain vendor relationship keeping vendors apprised of performance and impacts.
  • Maintain a healthy project team working relationship, keeping an eye on work life balance and provide mitigation strategies when off.
  • Ensure compliance to static quality tools (Sonarqube, Fortify SSC) to ensure agreed code quality is achieved throughout.
  • Own the documentation in Confluence and keeps a well-organized easily accessed hierarchy.
  • Ensure all projects are compliant with the ISTM and have all required audit artifacts.
  • Create and update the business case and maintain project financials and details for CAPEX and OPEX split.
  • Own successful implementation of all defined scope of the project, including team defined priorities, objectives, and timetables, driven by the solutions and business requirements.
  • Responsible for end to end project delivery including Scope definition, communication of project status to Project Owner and key stakeholders, knowledge transfer into the run organization.
  • Perform stakeholder analysis and engage in stakeholder meetings.
  • Supports the management of external vendor relationships, as needed, through needs assessment, evaluation, selection, onboarding and integration.
  • Support prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load.
  • Ensure result of project is evaluated on impacts to business continuity plans and mitigations.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Jira, Confluence, Visio or similar skills required.
  • Ability to control inputs and outputs, organize them and make decisions for the benefit of the project and the business.
  • High attention to detail, good follow-through and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions.
  • A proven track record of driving complex projects with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related degree.
  • 7 to 8 years of industry experience and related work experience.
  • PMP Certification or similar Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Six sigma green belt or DHL First Choice Bronze Master preferred.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast pace, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas stakeholders and various departments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
  • Regular sitting at work station for 25 – 75% of the work shift.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Travel required < 25%.
