Overview:
The IT Tech Support Engineer is responsible for supporting IT systems and hardware at the Ark City Kansas facilities. The IT Tech Support Engineer will work closely with the IT department to resolve issues quickly and minimize production downtime. The position reports directly to the Plant Engineer/Engineering Manager. Responsibilities:

IT Tech Support Engineer for our facility in
Arkansas City, KS.
The IT Tech Support Engineer is responsible for supporting IT systems and hardware at the Ark City Kansas facilities. The IT Tech Support Engineer will work closely with the IT department to resolve issues quickly and minimize production downtime. The position reports directly to the Plant Engineer/Engineering Manager.
- Support computer users with the installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide variety of problems with tablets, desktops, notebooks, workstations, servers, systems, security, mobile devices, scan guns, copiers, printers, scanners, access control, IP cameras, phones, projectors, network appliances, Networks (Local, Wide & Wireless), applications and ERP business system to maintain proper functioning; resolves issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor, patch and maintain company computers, servers, and networks for operation and performance, ensuring maximum uptime.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing concise communications and building high quality professional relationships with associates and vendors.
- Maintain Active Directory, Exchange O365, License compliance, Access Lists, IT Inventory equipment and Service catalog.
- Perform routine audits of systems and software.
- Implement corporate initiatives regarding new technology, upgrades, and processes.
- Leads projects and implementation of policies and systems throughout the business.
- Proactively looking for opportunities to move the business forward by automating business processes.
- Experience supporting enterprise computer hardware, software, systems, and networks.
- Working knowledge of Networks and VPN.
- Ability to follow support concepts, including proven ability to comprehend and implement concepts found in technical support documents.
- Ability to create professional support and work instructions that are easy to understand and follow.
- Flexibility to be on call to support the operation of a 24/7 manufacturing business.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Able to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and follow Code of Conduct as it relates to electronic information and systems.
- Level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements. Associate, Bachelor's or training in IT curriculum preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Analytical skills for problem-solving, decision-making, and multi-tasking
- Moderate to strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel)
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally, bend, stoop, crouch frequently, sit/stand/walk continuously, climb stairs frequently
- Programming experience preferred
- SharePoint administration experience preferred
- Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred
- SQL experience preferred
- A+, NET+ or MCSE Certifications preferred
