SGS Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant Industry & Environment team at Alexandria-NSW

To perform routine preparation and analysis of soil, water and air in the sample preparation section.

Responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

• Undertake routine sample preparations for soil, water and air analyses which will include handling of acids, solvents and other reagents.
• Ensure work is carried out in a timely manner paying attention to the due date.
• Compliance with analytical methods and quality MS.
• Preparation of standards and reagents
• Analysis and recording of data/results.
• Assist chemists and supervisors in various tasks including loading of instruments, waste disposal etc.

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Certificate IV (TAFE) or equivalent
• One to two years laboratory experience or similar
