About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Innovation and Compliance, the Project Officer will coordinate initiatives to support innovation, continuous improvement, staff engagement and program priorities across the LAC team. The Project Officer will contribute to collaborative projects within SSI and with external stakeholders and the wider community. The role also is responsible for delivering high-quality written reports, briefings, and project plans on tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and driving the implementation of the LAC Business Plan and key LAC action plans.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to write/create, develop and implement tools, resources, and frameworks to assist frontline and management staff to meet requirements under the State of Requirements (SOR).
  • Using project management principles and practices to meet stakeholder expectations and project timelines.
  • Supporting the Manager of Innovation and Compliance on delivering change management initiatives.
  • Contributing to high quality written reports, briefings and LAC business and action plans.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Qualifications or experience in quality framework design and implementation, project management and/or advanced report writing.
  • Relevant qualifications in relevant or related field e.g. Psychology, Social Work or Allied Health or Qualification in disability/community services
  • Demonstrated experience in writing, developing, and implementing projects, policies and procedures in a human services sector.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours and in a range of locations across areas and regions as required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and PITC Program.
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting, program design, audit and evaluation.
