The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for an experienced linguistics professional to join Monash Suzhou in this one of a kind position, where you will play a key role in supporting our students in developing their academic skills throughout their education journey. Your key duties will include but not be limited to:
Design, plan and deliver workshops and programs to support the academic, learning and language skills development of Monash College and Monash University students
Provide one-on-one consultations to students in supporting their development and education journey with the University
Actively promote the services of the Student Academic Success team in the services offered to ensure the effective utilisation of services across Faculties as well as directly to the student population
Act as a source of expert advice relating to the learning outcomes and program to internal and external stakeholders
Work as an integral part of a team and attend and engage in various professional development events
About YOU!
To be successfully considered for this role, you will ideally have experience in linguistics or as a language adviser where you have been responsible for providing dynamic and bespoke advice to customers to support their language development. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to tailor your communication to suit the needs of your customers whilst being able to display empathy at all times. Your ability to be creative will see you develop innovative promotional methods to diversify and widen the scope of the program whilst ensuring the integrity of the core services offered is maintained. You will enjoy working in a dynamic team and liaising with partners located internationally, particularly in Australia.
