About the role

The new position of Group Fleet Lead will have oversight over a large, global capital budget in line with our asset Strategy. This will see you coordinating projects relating to strategic asset selection, deployment and planning of capital expense, both within Australia and globally.

This role has a clear career development path as we continue to expand our Assets and Sustainability Team at our Brisbane Head Office, and Thiess is supportive of hybrid working, such as flexible working hours and WHF options. Ideally, you are an experienced Asset Estimator, Asset Engineer or Asset Specialist/Accountant wanting to develop and grow your career.

In this role, you will:
Deliver best outcomes and options for our Fleet as we adapt and move towards being a more sustainable organisation;

Work closely with multiple stakeholders, internal, leadership and OEMs assessing the viability of various fleet options, in the short, medium and long term for our business; and

Make regular reports on targeted purchases and other initiatives to meet our ESG growth as well as ensuring delivery.

About you

Have demonstrated your understanding of Asset Management and strategy assessment within a tight commercial market

Possess strong influencing skills and be able to demonstrate your ability to gain buy-in against compressed time frames and emerging trends;

Experience across OneStream, JDE and MS Office projects preferred; and

Hold a tertiary degree in Engineering or Accounting, with experience in the commercial application of asset management principals.
