Be a pioneer in our newly structured Learning and development (L&D) team and lead the development and facilitation of training programs, work placement programs and coordinate Huon’s induction program. With the assistance of an L&D Coordinator, work closely with the IT department to develop and design reporting and information dashboards and promote a development culture across the business.


THE ROLE

Reporting to the Organisational Development (OD) Manager, the L&D Partner will:

  • Lead the L&D team to ensure training and licence compliance across Huon
  • Be responsible for identifying future training needs and assessing the impact innovation and other industry factors may have on Huon’s talent requirements
  • Liaise and communicate with relevant stakeholders of all levels, both internally and externally to Huon
  • Analyse training needs, develop and facilitate training development content and implement cost effective methods for training delivery
  • Establish reporting services to all areas of the business for compliance, auditing, funding and award applications including analysis
  • Engage in the Huon work placement function and workforce planning activities
  • Ensure a focus on continuous improvement for all activities

This role is full time and based at our Hobart Office, however the role will often engage in Site visits across Huon’s Tasmanian operating facilities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Highly developed influencing, relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams with a focus on mentorship
  • Extensive experience in the L&D function, leading a team; identifying, developing and facilitating training
  • Experience in developing and conducting tailored inductions for a range of business areas
  • Capable of analysing, presenting, and communicating information
  • Highly organised and possess ability to effectively prioritise and manage tasks and projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or a related discipline
  • Current Drivers Licence
