*$72,330 per annum (Band 4), plus Super *Permanent Full Time

Hume City Council's Libraries is currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate to fill the role of Library Technician - Interlibrary Loans and Home Library Delivery Service within the Library Central Services Team currently based primarily at Broadmeadows Library.

The successful candidate will provide high quality customer service to the Hume community at one of our five branches, sometimes as shift supervisor. This will include one evening shift each week, and one Saturday morning in a four week cycle.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to build on your previous experience and to demonstrate your aptitude for library technical services. You will be supported by an experienced team and the position will include training and mentorship.

Key Skills

  • Ensuring that Hume Libraries' customers have ready and efficient access to materials outside of Hume Libraries through requests that may be fulfilled through purchasing new items for our collection or through Interlibrary Loans from other services,
  • Requests from other libraries are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner,
  • Providing excellent customer service and outreach to Hume's Home Library Delivery Service customers by managing the provision of appropriately selected and efficiently circulated library materials to customers in their home or aged care centre.
