About the role:

The Line Design Surveyor is responsible for the site survey field works, data capture and computations in order to provide the technical support required by the Design Engineers to develop construction drawings to be used for field works on Jemena’s Electricity Network (JEN).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide survey works required in addressing the networks integrity and design strategy with the appropriate technical data complying with Jemena’s construction standards achieving business expected design outcomes.
• Surveying required to assist with the design of network, third party and Customer Initiated distribution construction projects to detailed specifications covering aspects of technical, safety, environmental, quality and cost requirements and ensuring they comply with relevant design standards, economic and regulatory criteria.
• Survey, review and follow up on project design corrections and adjustments to ensure any impact on the project achieves desired acceptable outcomes.
• Support the Design Engineers with their design matters and conduct field assessment works as required to ensure constructability compliance can be achieved.
• Provide a high level customer service.
• Improve operational efficiencies and performance.
• Provide specialist support and feedback to Design Engineers.
• Support the business objectives of Zinfra.
• Play a vital role in maintaining the short and long-term viability of the group and business goals.

About you:

The successful candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in survey related field works, a Cert III in spatial information services or a minimum of 4 years of survey experience in the electrical industry as a line design surveyor.

You will have experience with the electricity distribution network and have experience in the preparation of of detailed design on substation, street lighting, underground and overhead designs up to 66kv.
