About the role:

We are currently seeking a Lineworker to join our team based out of our Broadmeadows depot. The primary purpose of this role is to support the broader No Go Zone team in delivery their work packages across the Jemena Network. You will be given the opportunity to work a nine day fortnight with some overtime available.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Install and remove No Go Zone visual warning devices
• Issue permits to work
• Carrying out switching on LV an HV networks
• Engaging with and advising the public on No Go Zone requirements
• Study and interpret technical drawings and network line diagrams
• Complete route surveys for Over Dimensional Transport and provide escorts.
• Assist the Electrical Network Operators and other Work Groups, as required.
• Undertake the construction and maintenance of electricity distribution and/or transmission networks in accordance with Company Policies, Quality Systems and HSE procedures as well as statutory requirements

About you:

• Hold a Certificate III ESI in Distribution
• Current VIC Electrical licence
• RSO Certificate and DS Certificate (desirable)
• Experience within an electrical maintenance environment
• Working in high-risk environments
• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with customers
• Demonstrated ability to recognise and solve problems in the workplace
• Proven ability to work productively as part of a wider team while being able to work independently at times
• A safety focused attitude
