The Role
The ALS Environmental business in Mackay is seeking a casual Logistics Officer to service clients in the region. This position will entail working from the ALS facility in Paget and will form part of the local ALS Mackay team that strives to exceed internal and external client expectations.

The day to day
Responsibilities include:

• Greet and assist clients by phone, email and in person
• Ensuring phone calls and emails are answered promptly and professionally
• Bottle preparation and packing eskies
• Sorting, packing, labelling and distributing samples by courier or for pick up
• Coordinating the receipt and dispatch of client samples to ALS Environmental laboratories, including liaising with laboratory staff when urgent samples are received
• Ensuring sample deliveries and COC's are reviewed/triaged, labelled and distributed within designated timeframes and according to client needs and approved sample receipt procedures
• Liaising with clients (internal and external) in regard to sample submissions and related queries
• Maintaining sample storage and disposal by following safe work practices.

• Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information
• High level of flexibility regarding hours/availability
