Austin Health Partners (Cedar Park Pediatric and Family Medicine) are looking for an LVN Pediatric Nurse to join our clinical team! They will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to help provide care to patients, support physicians and keep office operations running smoothly.

Pay range $25 -$30 commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepares patient for examination (vitals, PSFH, CC, and correct visit interview)

2. Ability to do rapid flu, strep, RSV and UA testing

3. Ability to perform dental varnish, spot vision screens, OAEs, and routine hearing and vision screens in addition to heel sticks

4. Maintains exam room cleanliness prior to each patient appointment

5. Stocks medical supplies in each exam room per physician preference

6. Spirometry

7. Schedules patient appointments

8. Proper administration of all vaccines

9. Responsible for all incoming non-triage calls for assigned provider

10.Administering proper medication as directed by provider (oral and/or injectable)

11.Performs capillary blood draws and newborn screens

12.Handles all refills/referrals/authorizations

13.Ability to perform casting (with MD approval) and splinting (pre fab)

14.Working knowledge of proper autoclave procedure

15.Assist with clinical inboxes as needed

16.Knowledge of all items in Crash Cart and their use

17.Knowledge of all documents associated with each type of patient visit and their location

18.Referral duties as needed

19.Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Must Have

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. CPR Certification

3.LVN License

4. Knowledge of EMR

5. Knowledge of TVFC guidelines

Nice to Have

1. Health care industry experience

2. COVID Vaccine

3. Nursing License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Works near others, usually within a few feet. May work in a noisy or distracting environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Certain vaccinations are required of all clinic staff.

COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS

Staff is required to wear a surgical mask at all times. Patients are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

The core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but can vary depending on business needs. This position will require occasional weekend and evening hours.Travel Occasional travel may be needed for this position depending on location.
