Operates Rotomatics, Compression Presses, Wiltrim Trim Machine, Drill Press and Clicker Punch Press to produce diaphragms in compliance with established safety regulations and work instructions. Steel toe shoes required.

Available Shift: First two weeks of training will be on day shift M-F 7am-3pm; click apply now!!
  • 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:00pm -11:00pm; Overtime may be required during the week and on Saturday
  • 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm - 7am; Overtime may be required during the week and on Saturday

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Management may assign other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Follows schedule as provided Feeds calendared material through Rotomatic
  • Cuts and weighs gum preps by operating Rotomatic and reading a scale Assembles fabric and gum pieces
  • Places return trim on correct skid
  • Labels books of assembled preps
  • Labels rolls of unfinished calendered rolls
  • Operates double decked Compression Press Applies mold release as required
  • Loads preps and unloads molded parts
  • Operates Wiltrim machine, Drill Press and Clicker Punch Press Packages finished parts in cardboard cartons
  • Completes inventory move ticket
  • Completes all required production and quality related paperwork
  • Operates computer for work instructions and label printing

MATERIALS, PROCESS PARTS & FINISHED PRODUCTS USED: Calendered Bum Rubber Pre-cut Fabric Blanks Cloth books for assembled preps Mold Releases Marking Pens Cartons, Labels, Move Tickets

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to read, comprehend and execute work instructions Able to read a scale and understand weight measurements Able to understand fractional and decimal numbers Able to work with a partner in a positive manner Able to communicate, assist and cooperate with other operators

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to Continuously walk, stand, reach with arms and use hands more than 6 hrs. per 8 hr. workday Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally push stock carts with assistance of another operator Possess close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Able to reach all mold cavities using existing press set-ups Handle rubber compounds without having an allergic reaction

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection are required The ambient temperature can exceed 100 degrees in summer months Working with molds that are up to 350 degrees in temperature

PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS: These skills are beneficial when evaluating machine performance.

ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Operator will need to read and understand routers, schematics, models and other specifications. In addition, math skills will assist in understanding instruction and ensuring parts are built correctly and to specifications.
