Key Responsibilities
- The employee must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with supervisor(s) about technical details, questions, and ideas in English.
- The employee must report to the supervisor observed and reported machine & technical problems in a timely manner.
- The employee must understand the workflow concept of the entire DEL.
- The employee must be able to operate all surfacing equipment unsupervised including but not limited to air compressors, blockers, polishers, generators, engravers, non-dip backside coaters, and Microsoft Window-based computers.
- The employee must be able to calibrate and put into operation above listed equipment unsupervised.
- The employee must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and simple repairs unsupervised on all above-listed equipment and other equipment and devices as needed.
- The employee must be able to perform routine, scheduled and emergency maintenance under supervision on all above-listed equipment and other equipment and devices as needed.
- The employee will perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to: cleaning, trash removal, general electrical- plumbing –mechanical tasks as needed.
- The employee will be able to understand and use technical documentation such as parts lists, maintenance guides, and exploded drawings.
- The employee will maintain lines of communication with supervisors such as valid email and current phone numbers.
- The employee will comply with reasonable overtime requests as necessary.
- The employee must be able to operate in a production capacity and maintain machinery and equipment in at least one specialist area to include but not limited to Coating (thin film vacuum (AR) and dip coating) and Finishing (edgers, tracers, drills, blockers).
- The employee will have a main focus on specialist areas but will be called upon to perform other maintenance and duties as needed.
- The employee will be able to initiate remote troubleshooting support and successfully complete repairs by phone, email, text or other means of communication.
- The employee will be able to understand and use technical documentation such as electrical and pneumatic schematics and diagrams.
Shift: M-F 3 pm-12 am but will be required to work some weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- At least two (2) years of experience within a technical or manufacturing environment, as determined relevant by management.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a technical or manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Formal technical and or maintenance education.
- Experience in specialty area production.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (safety/weight belt provided, if requested). Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required.
