ABOUT THE ROLE
A permanent, full-time opportunity exists within Amana Living for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team at Edward Collick Home, based in Kalgoorlie. The Maintenance Officer will maintain all aspects of the facility and ensure jobs which require further work to be handled by tradespeople are completed as per standards set by Amana Living.

Key Responsibilities

• Check the property tablet each working day and attend to outstanding tasks and requests
• Check chemical room daily, restock and assist with decanting of chemicals
• Attend to facility maintenance, including but not being limited to checking lighting, equipment, furniture, hot water systems, showerheads and sinks, reticulation systems
• Maintaining animal areas, removing cobwebs, clearing drains, cleaning and checking flyscreens
• Ensure bus is clean and maintained
• Ensure carpets in centre and rooms are spot cleaned as necessary
• Liaise with contractors whilst on site to ensure they have access to necessary areas
• Complete reports as required by Service Manager and update property tablet with progress on outstanding work
• Report to Service Manager as required

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a maintenance role, for a minimum of 3 years. You will have the ability to work independently and have strong organisational and time management skills.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 3 years' experience in home and / or equipment maintenance - desirable
• Valid Police Clearance less than 6 months old
• NDIS Screening (or ability to obtain)
• NDIS worker orientation module certificate (or able to complete)
• Full Covid-19 vaccination and 2022 Influenza vaccination
• Successful completion of a pre employment health form, physical assessment and reference checks
• Current C class driver's licence
• Basic computer skills
