- Location: Located in Parramatta with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available.
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $131,094 pa to $151,609 pa + super and leave loading
- 35 hour week

About the Student and Parent Experience Directorate
The vision of the Student and Parent Experience Directorate is to harness the voice of learners, parents and carers to contribute to designing and delivering a world class educational experience. Our purpose is to enhance education outcomes through enhanced experiences, enabling all learners to achieve their best potential across early childhood, school education, and post school education in VET.

About the role
Enable student and parent centred decision-making by providing robust, relevant and actionable insight into parent and student experiences with public education delivery in NSW. To deliver this insight, this role will lead the development and ongoing delivery of continuous experience measurement and monitoring, as well as initiatives to extract relevant insight from other primary and first-party data sources.

Essential requirements of the role
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, business, management, social sciences or communications, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check)
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
- Prior relevant experience, ideally within a large organisation and programs involving organisational and cultural change.
About you
As the Manager, Experience Measurement & Insights, you will lead the development and ongoing delivery of continuous experience measurement and monitoring, as well as initiatives to extract relevant insight from other primary and first-party data sources.
You will also provide advice and guidance on how to inform organisational decision-making using the insights generated from the measurement program you lead.
As the right candidate, you will have:
- Knowledge of and experience with quantitative primary research methods, along with a working understanding of qualitative research approaches
- Experience leading primary research projects end-to-end, including problem definition, scoping, research solution development, fieldwork, analysis, and reporting
- Demonstrably effective project management and organisational skills
- Working knowledge of statistical principles and their application to research methods and interpretation of findings
- Sound interpersonal and relationship-management skills
- Experience in managing and working with external suppliers
- Professional and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience or demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and mentor direct reports.
