Responsibilities:

Our Change Management Managers play a key role in helping clients improve business value focusing on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, transitioning IT systems, job roles and organization structures. Our practitioners identify and address client needs and effectively prepare teams to understand and implement changes: build solid relationships with clients; communicate with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; build awareness and drive effective change; demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; assess client’s readiness and recommend actions and initiatives; and communicate and manage potential obstacles to change.

The primary responsibility of this role will be conducting change management assessments, creating and implementing change management strategies, plans, developing collateral and solutions that maximize stakeholder technology adoption or other transformative change while minimizing resistance. The change manager will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and proficiency with the changes that impact a wide range of state and local government stakeholders. These efforts will aim to assist on building high performing teams, increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes:

  • Creates and implements change management strategies and plans utilizing a structure framework that maximize employee adoption and usage, drive faster adoption, and promote higher ultimate utilization of IT products and services.
  • Facilitates and leads working sessions and discussions with executive and cross-functional teams.
  • Designs change management initiatives to shape the future of an organization.
  • Supports workforce analysis and other related assessments.
  • Applies structured methodologies and leads change management activities. Applies a change management process and tools to create strategies that support adoption of the changes required by an IT project, process improvement or other initiatives.
  • Supports the design, development, delivery and management of business process reengineering and strategic communications efforts.
  • Designs and executes change management assessments. Assesses the impact of changes on people, process and technology.
  • Identifies key stakeholders and stakeholder segments, conducts impact analyses, and assesses change readiness.
  • Provides input, documents requirements, and supports the design and delivery of training and orientation programs.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and prepares risk mitigation.
  • Reports on change management progress and performance.
  • Conducts post-implementation reviews to assess the efficacy and effectiveness of change post go-live.
  • Works to ensure alignment of project communications with overall strategy and plans; uses various communications media to aid the communications process and works with web teams and other technical resources to maximize the use of technology.
  • Supports development of junior staff through mentorship and participation in the Guidehouse performance management process.

Qualifications:


Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of change management experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership and Change Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Certification Change Management Professional Certification (CCMP), or Prosci certification
  • Degree in organizational development, organization change management
  • 1+ years management consulting experience
  • 1+ years experience in, or consulting for, state and/or local government

Additional Requirements:
The salary range for this role is $120k - $135k, may vary based on experience and location.

The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
