Material Handler/Forklift Operator/Machine Operator
Job description
Job Summary:
The goal of this position is the shipping, cleanliness, and safety, of our manufacturing/warehouse locations. This includes all aspects of understanding parts inventory, communication for support, container inventory, picking, adhering to all shipment SWI’s, understanding customer expectations and escalating to Supervisors when needed.
This individual should be a team player, have excellent communication skills in Production control or shipping/receiving.
· Monitor- presses are supplied with totes and racks as required.
· Ensure correct Kanban cards are used for product produced.
· Ensure proper Scanning of Kanban cards to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Ensure delivery of finished goods are in proper locations.
· Forklift Certified though RAG - preferred
· Other duties may be assigned.
· This position will work within the PC department.
Experience, Educational and Training Preferences:
· Minimum of 1 year of related picking, receiving or shipping experience required for Material Handler
Minimum of 1 year experience required for machine operator
· Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience preferred
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Excellent communication skills to internal and external customers required
Physical Requirements:
- 100% of the time will be spent on the production plant floors walking, standing and engaged in the activities associated with the role
- Be comfortable with lifting, squatting, and repetitive movements
- Must be able to team lift a minimum of 50 pounds, 25 pounds alone
- Be able to work in an environment that is climate controlled but is exposed to potential heat, rain, and cold
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
