About the role:

We are currently seeking a Meter Data Logger (MDL Technician) to join our team that will service Sydney. This role is responsible for installing or replacing electrical/data cabling and equipment in domestic/medium density-high-rise settings in field based locations. Additionally, the technician will be multi-skilled to perform Meter Data Logger faults investigation activities as requires.

• Test and terminate data cables from the pulse output connection points at all Meters and MDL consoles;
• Replace /install electrical/data equipment for both Gas and Water meters in domestic and commercial settings for Meter Data Logger (MDL) Installation configurations;
• Testing, commissioning and programming for Meter Data Logger (MDL) Installation configurations.
• Planned & Unplanned maintenance for Meter Data Logger (MDL) Installation configurations.
• Daily management scheduled installations and service order work orders.
• Working efficiently to complete tasks to scheduled/planned time frames.

About you:

• Current austel or equivalent cabling accreditation is preferable
• Trade experience desirable i.e. communications or electrical
• Excellent communication skills to interact with all stakeholders
• Must be able to maintain safety standards
• Exceptional prioritisation and time management skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including, customers, supervisors and third party contractors
• Current Drivers Licence
