Clinica Medicos provides bilingual medical services blending patient care, urgent care, and obstetrics with public health, community service, and education. Our mission is to make quality healthcare accessible to Chattanooga's underserved Latino community regardless of insurance status, language, pregnancy, age, or gender.

Responsibilities and Duties
Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Using computer applications and electronic medical records
- Making phone calls
- Working to assist patients
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Assisting with scheduling appointments
- Arranging for laboratory services
Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examination
- Assisting the physician during exams
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Performing CLIA-waived laboratory tests
- Instructing patients about medication and special diets
- Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
- Drawing blood samples / phlebotomy work
- Taking electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Removing sutures and changing dressings
- Performing collections for Covid-19 testing
Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to)
- Adhere to Clinica Medicos work practices and standards.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, clinical staff and other employees.
- Effectively cope with typical job stress.
- Document work processes as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Job Requirements: Currently looking for a weekend worker!
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent REQUIRED.
- All applicants are REQUIRED to be fluent/proficient in Spanish and English.
- Availability to work EVERY weekends is REQUIRED for this position.
- Medical Assistant certificate is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and electronic health record programs.
- Ability to adhere to HIPPA Privacy Rules
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Advancement Opportunities
- Applicants hired, who are not Certified Medical Assistants, will be able to test for certification by experience after working at a clinic for TWO YEARS under physician supervision. We provide resources and cover costs of testing for MA certification of employees who meet these requirements while working for us.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Employees are provided with PPE in accordance to CDC standards when performing clinical tasks.
