About the Role
We are seeking permanent Medical Officer for civilian role at HMAS Creswell Health Clinic, Jervis Bay. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise and knowledge within a unique work environment. Creswell Health Clinic provides a warm, welcoming, and inclusive practice with a respectful work environment. This is not your standard Medical Officer role and as such we are seeking candidates who are looking for something a little different.
You will play a vital part in providing quality clinical care to patients as an integral member of an experienced multidisciplinary health care team. Your day will involve delivery of medical services, including fitness to fly assessments, aviation medicals and aircrew health management, sick parade consultations, general practitioner consultations, health screenings, preventative health care, occupational medical and health assessments to determine employability and deployability of personnel, pre and post deployment health assessments.
You will enjoy working closely with our nursing, allied health and administration teams and can expect to feel a unique sense of accomplishment and pride from caring for those who serve and protect our country.
About Creswell Clinic
Creswell Clinic is located at HMAS Creswell in Jervis Bay on the east coast of NSW. Approximately a 20-minute drive from its sister base HMAS Albatross, the Creswell Clinic provides general medical services, along with psychology and physiotherapy, and supports the twice annual intake of New Entry Officer Cadets. The clinic services up to 3200 ADF members. Its standard hours of operation are 0730-1530 Mon-Thurs, and 0730-1300 Friday.
About You

Alongside your engaging manner, you have a positive work attitude, outstanding communication skills and a strong people focus, enabling you to engage effectively with patients and team members alike.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR, Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration. Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent) as determined by RACGP and ACRRM. Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
