The Mental Health Data Analyst (MHDA) will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive data system for the Pitkin County Mental Health Access Program (MHAP). The MHDA will guide other Public Health staff in creating and improving mental health data collection and information management processes.

Evaluates the features and capabilities of data management systems to develop recommendations on which system(s) will progress Pitkin County towards achieving contract or internally-set goals.

Develops workflows, analytical processes, reports, and methodological designs for the MHAP to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data to measure programmatic outcomes.

Designs, develops, and presents complex data clearly and succinctly in various forms such as charts, graphs, tables, narratives, etc., that are tailored to each audience and used for the purposes of quality improvement, budget, resource and policy planning, program planning, and community education.

Trains other staff or external organizations on data collection and reporting processes.

Monitors and analyzes program expenses on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget.

Supports the relationship between Pitkin County government and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors, and other County staff; maintains confidentiality of HIPAA protected data, work-related issues, and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned.

2-3 years of experience in data management and analysis.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, business or systems information, or a related field.

Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
