Job description

The RN position will provide service to consumers assisting them in achieving their goals based on their individual wants and desires in the areas of interdependent daily living, financial, vocational/educational, social support/activities, health, medical and leisure/recreational supports. This position is directly responsible to the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist.

Must have graduated from an approved school of professional nursing and be licensed to practice in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse. Psychiatric Experience preferred

Applicant must:

• Be able to receive and return phone calls from patients and other health care providers, communicate finding to Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist, document and enter any verbal orders in electronic record.
• Communicate with Nurse Practitioner/and or Medical doctor of abnormal labs, utilize save line if needed; call in meds to pharmacy or give samples to patient as directed, do prior authorizations (nurse will be trained).
• Be able to set up pill boxes for patient according to their medication list.
• Be able to give long-acting antipsychotic IM medications (nurse will be trained).
• Collaboration with community clinicians.

Salary and benefits package starting at $55,000, negotiable based upon experience. Benefits package includes participation in KPERS Retirement System, paid sick and vacation, health, dental, and life insurance. We are a National Health Service Corp Approved Site offering loan repayment opportunities to those employed, if/once they have obtained their clinical licensure.
