Motor Claims Recovery Officer
About the role
- $30.18 commencement rate at entry level. Experience levels may be considered
- Full Time & Part Time hours available hours rostered over a 7-day working week
- Shifts available to suit parents, students, and many other circumstances
- Full training provided to set you up for success
- This role is based in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane and is a hybrid working role. You will be required to work from Eight Mile Plains at least 2 days a week.
- Must be available to start on the 14th of November and be available to complete a week training programme onsite at Eight Mile Plains
What will you be doing?
As the Recoveries Officer, you will be responsible for handling all Recovery enquiries. In this role you are empowered to proactively manage claims, this could involve lodging the claim, ensuring our members have a positive experience in their time of need. Or management of an existing claim through to settlement. Working in a fast-paced environment, every day will be different. There are new people to meet and new things to learn. Specific duties include:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of motor recoveries in a proactive and cost-effective manner, ensuring appropriate strategies are applied for the most effective outcome
- Make and/or defend indemnity and liability decisions in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained for our internal and external stakeholders while building strong collaborative relationships
- Ensure management of recoveries is in line with compliance and regulatory standards such as the General Insurance code of Practice and Debt Recovery Guidelines
- Constructively manage negotiations with a view of achieving the best possible outcome across all claims
- Actively participate in coaching and training to upskill and build capability within your team
About you
- Strong people skills and a proven ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment where Excellent customer service interactions are required for internal and external relationship building.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (including managing emotionally charged situations) Recovery, debt management or claims management/handling experience across the banking or finance sector (Insurance experience highly desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage priorities and drive own performance
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills include key understandings of road rules.
- Daily contributions to ensure Monthly Debt Recovery target dollars are being met.
- 100% compliance when identifying Financial Hardship Triggers
- Meeting Average Recovery Lengths for Third Parties and Third-Party Insurers.
- Meeting Average Recovery Rate for Third Parties and Third-Party Insurers.
- Meeting expectations on proactive claims audit including business and compliance based best practice.
