As an Material Requirements Planner for Assembly and Test in Indianapolis MA&T. Plan requirements in Assembly, interface with Assembly Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Product Assurance and Engine Build Coordinators to ensure material is launched to all Indianapolis Assembly departments in a controlled manner. Interface with customers for assembly provided spare parts and with various supply chain teams on providing parts for assembly. You will also liaise with 3PL partners to perform stock audits and action material discrepancies, e.g. handling damage & receipt shortages, Monitor actual stock levels and customer usage against planned requirements and ensure variances to plan are fed to forecasting process to maintain effective planning model.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Coordinate fulfilment of part demand, from submitting kit orders, through material allocation, distribution of parts, and tracking order fulfilment
  • Managing the flow of material into, though, and out of the assembly facility (warehousing, storage, WIP, handling and inventory) as part of an integrated Logistics process
  • Participate in Engineering data reviews and maintain configuration control within SAP and our kitting media
  • Support Operations Manager by utilizing knowledge of production flow and load and capacity planning to build credible delivery commitments
  • Serving as an internal customer advocate, ensuring appropriate action are taken to meet customer demands (researching material availability, material validity/alternates, identifying and escalating critical shortages, and working through supply chain expeditors)
  • Responsible for meeting RR delivery and quality standards and ensuring that practices meet Rolls-Royce’s stringent quality, health, and safety and environment standards while working with Process Improvement contacts to drive continuous improvement activities to promote a safe and lean operating environment.
Basic Requirements:
  • Associates degree with 4+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and/or Assembly OR;
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and/or Assembly OR;
  • Experience in lieu of degree 6+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and/or Assembly
