What you’ll be doing:
Based in Brisbane or Sydney the National Account Manager - Agency Partnerships is a key role in our high performing sales team. This role will see you plan, direct and manage the sales relationships with Agency Partners to achieve market share and revenue at agreed cost of sale. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of overall National account strategy for some of Virgin’s largest accounts.
You will be responsible for the engagement of our key industry partners, developing and delivering new initiatives to drive additional revenues, to support the success of our partners and in turn the airline. In this role it will be hugely important that you cultivate strong relationships, both internal and external, identify and execute on incremental revenue opportunities, and deliver end to end account management.
Who we’re looking for:
Someone with proven experience in implementing and managing large and complex Global Sales Agreements and experience with Cost of Sale models. Your background will be either in the Corporate, Leisure and/or Online travel industry with strategic selling, account management and business planning skill set that you have developed in a competitive sales environment.
You’ll be great in this role if you have:
- Agency remuneration modelling in a variety of different retailers, from Corporate, Leisure and OTA’s with deep understanding of SLA/BSP and SIP based Agreements
- Knowledge and understanding of airline distribution and retailing techniques with background understanding of fare distribution and ticketing
- Channel Management – Structure and Implement of successful Channel Management Strategies to win, with specific reference to unpublished fare distribution
- Conferences/Events and Marketing Plans
- Understanding of the AU/NZ Travel Industry make up and key Agency Groups
- Development of Account Strategy, Short to Medium term and devise Account Management and Engagement Plans
- Results driven individual with experience in driving performance to Sales Targets by channel
- Understanding of airline distribution segments, Corporate, Leisure, SME, Cruise and Wholesale
- Demonstrated ability in data-based decision making. Analyse data and develop and influence decisions for the benefit to Virgin Australia
- Highly developed communication, negotiation skills with experience of managing complex business relations with varying needs and expectations
