New Graduate Radiographer

Hunter New England Imaging (Greater Metropolitan Sector) is offering a number of New Graduate Radiographer positions for 2023 located at Maitland, Calvary Mater Newcastle, Belmont and John Hunter Hospitals. These positions are temporary full-time for a period of 12 months.

About the role:

New Graduate Radiographers (MRP Level 1) will be working within Hunter New England Imaging providing high quality Diagnostic Medical Imaging service in accordance with National registration, professional practices, standards and policies of the Imaging Department specific to Hunter New England Local Health District.

The New Graduate Radiographer will be working as part of a shift roster, providing general imaging services which includes modalities such Operating Suite, Mobile, and Fluoroscopy. CT training will vary according to the requirements at each site.

Information for Applicants:

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases - this is a Category A position. Please read and understand NSW Health policy directive (PD2022_030). All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in the policy.
