About the role ...
The Assistant in Nursing will be experienced, motivated, flexible and able to coordinate with strong interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative approach to quality service delivery. The role requires a person who is skilful in the current knowledge, practice and management of all aspects of day to day responsibilities and thrives on assisting Elders with activities of daily living.
About you ...
You will have a flexible, caring, patient attitude and an ability to work in a professional and proficient manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum Cert III (Aged Care) or be working towards this
- Cert IV (Aged Care) advantageous
Skills:
- The ability to work with frail and/or confused elders and their families within the Accreditation Standards and funding guidelines
- Basic knowledge of the ageing process and the ability to communicate effectively
- The ability to accept direction and to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- The ability or willingness to speak or learn Dutch/Spanish and an understanding of the Dutch/Spanish culture and history preferred
- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment
- A flexible, caring and patient attitude
- To have a basic knowledge of Work Health and Safety procedures
A police check with no disclosable outcome, medicare evidence of current flu vaccination and full COVID-19 vaccination, including dose 3 is required by MiCare for this position.
A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.
