Where you'll be working
You’ll be working at Northern Sydney Local Health District based at Royal North Shore Hospital, and work closely with the North Sydney Health Network in Chatswood.

What you'll be doing

This position will lead and manage the HealthPathways (HP) program and team. The role will be critical in facilitating the engagement of clinical and operational stakeholders in the development of pathways, in setting its direction, and establishing effective ways of working across acute, community and primary care stakeholders.

The position will work across the LHD and PHN to embed HP as a method for improving, designing and implementing appropriate care in the region. The role will drive this through identifying and scoping opportunities for improvement, consulting with key stakeholders, and undertaking or participating in improvement initiatives.

The role will also be required to undertake routine management activities, such as managing staff, writing reports and briefs, participating in governance processes, and monitoring budgets.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Evidence of relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience with proven experience and extensive skills in Program Management, Change Management or Clinical Redesign.
  • Demonstrated highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of effective and collaborative relationships with senior clinicians.
  • Demonstrated sound understanding of systems and culture across General Practice, primary and secondary care; as well as a good knowledge of health services in the NSLHD region.
  • Demonstrated highly developed organisational skills, with the capacity to successfully analyse, problem solve and complete several tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare complex reports, submissions and presentations to a range of clinical and administrative audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and evaluate projects.
  • Capacity and willingness to work and travel across the Northern Sydney region.
