WHAT WE NEED?

The State Operations Manager will have extensive cleaning industry experience to lead our high performing team. You will be based in our Sydney office and report directly to the National Operations Manager focused on improving service delivery/operations, organizational capability, customer retention, employee retention and business development.

Your main focus will be to meet and exceed our service delivery expectations, and drive a high performing culture. This is a senior leadership role and from time to time you may need to assist the team with industrial cleaning duties.

This is not a 9 to 5 role. As the State Operations Manager you will be working in a fast paced environment where you will need to lead your team and have the ability to adapt and respond to effectively manage your time to achieve success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

• Manage the service delivery and performance of daily operations across a portfolio of commercial sites in Sydney Metro Area
• Ensure cleaning operations and contracted services are delivered in accordance with contractual agreements
• Deliver a quality and reputable service
• Ensure all team members are effectively inducted, trained, skilled and supported todo the job, including managing underperformers
• Work according to set budgetary constraints thereby retaining profitability
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and employees
• Develop new business opportunities
• Effectively manage all site operations, including having a clear understanding of the agreed scope of works and the integrated management plan, which sets out contract specific responsibilities
• Complete monthly reporting requirements, as per contractual or business requirements
• Ensure all financial budgets and targets are achieved within an identified timeframe
• Ensure and understand rosters are prepared to the modern award

WHAT YOU’LL NEED?

• Must have a valid drivers license
• Working knowledge of the Cleaning Services Award would be highly regarded
• Previous experience in a similar role within the Commercial Cleaning Industry
• A positive & emotionally intelligent leadership style
• A confident and keen eye for good presentation (self & workplace)
• A good sense of professional judgement
• Lead by example and happy to get hands dirty
• Confident stakeholder/Account management and relationship building skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated workforce/team management skills, including mentoring and coaching
• Good understanding of OH&S and best practice implementation
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience leading geographically dispersed teams
• Certificate 111 or above in Asset Management (Cleaning Operations) desirable however not essential
• Strong administrative and scheduling skills
• Financial acumen
• Proficient in Microsoft office
