The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Grade 1 Occupational Therapist to join the team at Northern Health.

The Grade 1 rotational Occupational Therapist is required to provide quality patient centred care in a variety of patient cohorts. This is achieved through the application of competent clinical skills in assessment, intervention/rehabilitation, and discharge planning with an appropriate level of supervision.

At Northern Health, our Grade 1 Cohort have access to the Grade 1 mentorship group program, run by one of the Grade 2 clinicians. This is an opportunity for the Grade 1’s to meet regularly, and access PD interests and ongoing peer support.

The rotation at Northern Health is unique, as there is access to rotations in Acute, Subacute, Community, Hand Therapy and some exposure to NDIS across the continuum. This allows the Grade 1’s at Northern Health to build a highly desirable set of both clinical and non-clinical skills in their early career.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience and good working knowledge of the scope and role of Occupational Therapy across the continuum of care
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic team
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• A passion for working with the adult and aged populations
